Hi every one.. as our batch is having some b school entries, from Amrutha to IIMA,-I thought it would be nice to post sth about our first week at theschool...since orkut is banned in IIMA we may post it also at yahooand google groups..if dasan is having some time to spare, he may makeone thread on the facebook.. Well i reached here two days before starting my remedial course. Ireached insti at about 3 am in the morning and the security gave thekeys to my room. I got in and had a deserving sleep after the 38 hourtrain journey. from the next day i saw, people coming from all over india..but nomore madrasis (mallu and TN) came, and all over here "sab hindiwalahey"..and i was being frequently praised about my "better hindi"!!! well coming to IRMA, it's having an area of 60 acre fully landscapedwith some marvellous architecture.. .. i will upload some photos toflickr later..all the class rooms are fully air conditioned and having some greatfacilities...and the mess is also good...they are making some strangefood..some really tastes good..subah aur dophar mem lassi milthahey..dooth miltha hey..aur..fried chicken bhee miltha hey , means anentire chicken nirthipporichathinte pakuthi..seniors are very friendly and caring..here there is a very strongalumni network..we had a join yesterday night..and they had warned usthat irma is very strict about discipline...yeham cigrettt pee sakthe hey..even with the faculty ..only thing isthat you should not do it in the varandas and other closed placesother than your room..and on the hostel terrace..there are only Smirnoff Vodka bottles..Ididn't find any other brand..don't know why..and incidentally Gujratis an officially dry state..daru nahim miltha..irma mem bhi daru
banned hey , you will be kicked out if you are cought with it..butabhi thak aisa nahim hogaya hey..here there is a good library , and for the matter i am writing thisfrom the library..i will purchase my lapie only after getting theloan. Hindu daily's Chennai edition comes here after two days andthere are a lot of other dailies from bs,toi to telegraph. Gym is notthat good..there is nothing for abs.. umm...None the less...now i am beginning to love this insti..until now i haven't paid a single rupee other than an amount of 5000/-paid for blocking the seat..the SBI guys came to our mess yesterdayand gave us documents and stamp paper for the loan ..just got to sendit home and come back with my mom's sign..insti is having some tie upwith the bank..and they are giving us loan under reducedinterest..floating hey..10.75%ab..About Gujarath..you won't believe it..here there is no currentfailure..there is 24X7 electricity..really ...the computers doesn'trequire a UPS at all...and you should see every paper here are in arace trying to praise Mr. Modi to the sky..and the state government isgoing to provide 24x7 drinking water soon..i have been here for thepast few days and I couldn't find even a distant dismal comment on thestate government.pinne.. ivide 7.30 ayale iruttavanullu...ente class innale thudangi..remedial maths..oru chullan vannu kurekanakk paranju thannu..ee biharikalokke bhayankara pulikalanennuthonnunnu. ellaathinum avanmar thala kulukki irikkunnnund. innatheclassil pakshe enikk kureyonnum manasilaayilla..most of my classmates are from agri back ground...half of the peoplewill be coming only by next week..and most of those will beengineers..ok i need to go and buy some things from the store...got to go..willcomplete the thing later..or rather continue the thread..
